Drug take back day is April 26

The annual national prescription drug take back day takes place this Saturday, April 26, 2014. Community members are asked to clean out their medicine cabinets and bring unused prescriptions to any of three different locations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Prescription drugs can be given back, but items that cannot be accepted for the take back programs are needles and sharps, mercury thermometers, oxygen containers, chemotherapy or radioactive substances, pressurized canisters, and illicit drugs. Locations include Alco at 541 Zerex, in Fraser, City Market at 1001 Thompson Road, in Granby, and The Mercantile at 101 Martin Way, in Kremmling.
