Eagle Scout Matthew Naschak to be honored
Matthew A. Naschak of Granby will be honored with an Eagle Scout Court of Honor on Sunday, July 12, at 4 p.m. at the Church of the Eternal Hills. Matthew began his journey to Eagle with Cub Scout Pack 90 in Fraser and continued with Boy Scout Troop 105. After Troop 105 was decommissioned, Matthew demonstrated his determination to achieve Scouting’s highest rank by finishing his Eagle requirements as a Lone Scout.
A Board of Review (pictured) consisting of Carl Dunham from the Western Colorado Council, Mike Regan, Craig Hardmann and Jeff Shaw along with Greg Foley, former Troop 105 Scoutmaster, signed off on Matt’s Eagle application in May. For his Eagle project, Matt built a handicapped accessible wildlife viewing blind near the Colorado River.
Matthew is the son of Alison and Paul Naschak and recently graduated from Middle Park High School. He plans to attend the University of Alaska in Fairbanks this fall.
