Early jail exit for woman who taped dog to fridge

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) – A woman who, police say, bound and taped her boyfriend’s puppy to the side of a refrigerator last year is out of jail early.

Abby Toll was sentenced in July to 30 days in Boulder County Jail plus three years of probation on a conviction of aggravated animal cruelty.

The 21-year-old left the jail Friday after 20 days there. Officials say she got out early for going to classes at jail and staying out of trouble. She must still serve out probation.

Prosecutors say she was mad at her boyfriend when she used hair ties and tape to bind the dog’s snout and legs before taping the dog upside-down to the refrigerator at her boyfriend’s apartment.
