East Grand Fire hosts ‘distracted driver’ educational event

The East Grand Fire department is hosting an event to educate young or new drivers on the dangers of distracted driving.

The event is targeted to young or new drivers with ages ranging from 16 to 25, but members of the community and local residents are encouraged to attend. This free event will include a presentation and hands-on skills challenge. Organizers say the overall goal of the event is to “show participants how easy it is to become, and how dangerous it is to be a distracted driver.”

Participants can RSVP at FRETACTMVS@gmail.com, The event is taking place at 6:30 p.m., on March 27, at the East Grand Fire Department temporary location, The event is presented by the Foothills Regional Emergency Medical and the Trauma Advisory Council. The presentation and training will be sponsored by the East Grand Fire Protection District.
