East Grand School District hires Mimmack as superintendent

Jody Mimmack is a finalist among the candidates for Fargo Public Schools superintendent

GRANBY – Jody Mimmack has been selected as the new superintendent for the East Grand School District.

Mimmack, a 25-year veteran of public education as a paraprofessional, teacher, and administrator who has been employed the past 13 years with the Mesa County Valley School District No. 51 in Grand Junction, will replace Nancy Karas. Karas is retiring after a career at East Grand School District as a teacher, a Middle School principal, and the past five years as superintendent of schools.

Mimmack most recently served at Mesa school district as executive director of achievement and growth/instructional support.

The board of education’s selection was made at its Feb. 5 meeting.
