Emergency a reminder that Grand County is a great place to live

To the Editor:

We are blessed to live in such a wonderful community.

When my husband, Cliff Anderson, sustained a mild head injury from a snowboarding accident, it became necessary to call 911. First on the scene was Officer Travis Sneith who was calm, kind, concerned, and informed ” a credit to the Fraser-Winter Park Police Department.

The county EMTs arrived next and proceeded to tend to Cliff. Their quick response, assessment, and subsequent actions were of the utmost professionalism ” what a great team. They transported him to Flight For Life, waiting at East Grand Fire Station, where the very capable flight nurses helped stabilize him for the flight to St. Anthony’s.

I believe that the quick actions of all concerned are the reason Cliff has made such amazing progress and is recovering fully. Just saying “thanks” hardly seems enough to express our gratitude, but thank you so much.

And, to all of our friends and well-wishers who called, visited the hospital, sent cards and flowers, offered help, and came by the house bearing food and cheerfulness, you are the reason we love this place so much. We are so grateful for everything. Thanks and much love to you all.
