Fire levels storage structure at Beaver Village in Winter Park

WINTER PARK – A structure fire located at Beaver Village in Winter Park was reported to Grand County Dispatch at around 10:45 p.m., Sept. 6, according to Grand County Sheriff Rod Johnson.

One of the older cabins on the Beaver Village property that was being used for storage was burning when multiple agencies responded.

East Grand Fire District, Granby Fire District, Grand County Emergency Medical Services, Fraser-Winter Park Police Department, and Grand County Sheriff’s Office responded to the fire.

As a result of the fire the structure was completely lost and damage to two vehicles and seven snowmobiles was reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
