As of July 10, fire danger is high in east Grand County and very high in west Grand County, according to the Northern Colorado Interagency Dispatch Center. If there were to be a wildfire, required response levels are predicted to be moderate to high.

There are no fire restrictions in Grand County at this time, except in Rocky Mountain National Park.

Rocky Mountain National Park always has Stage 1 fire restrictions in place. Campfires and fireworks are prohibited throughout the park, except in designated campfire rings in picnic areas and front country campgrounds. The use of portable charcoal grills, wood fuel camp stoves and propane/butane-fueled gas stoves is allowed.

Visitors are urged to use caution and vigilance regarding the use of fire in authorized locations.
