Fire volunteers find work beyond Grand Fire

Granby, CO Colorado

Three local volunteer firefighters have secured full-time paid positions in fire departments in Colorado.

Emily Abbott, who grew up in Granby, is working at the Colorado Springs Fire Department.

Trace Reeves is working at the Falcon Fire Protection District (Colorado Springs area).



Jeff Hulley will be working at the South Metro Fire Rescue Authority (a consolidation of South Metro Fire Rescue and the Parker Fire Protection District) and will be attending their Fire Academy this summer.

“Our program is working and residents are finding paid work after working and training with us,” said Fire Chief David Boyes
