Forest Service burning slash piles Monday

Officials with the Sulphur Ranger District of the U.S. Forest Service will be burning hand slash piles Monday, Dec. 6, at the Willow Creek Reservoir boat launch area. The District expects to burn approximately 18 piles.

Burning will only take place if weather conditions and staffing assure public and firefighter safety. All of the piles should be ignited by mid-afternoon.
