The East Grand School District (EGSD) will have a new Superintendent when classes start in the fall this year.

The EGSD Board of Education selected Franklin Reeves as the next District Superintendent for East Grand during a Board executive session held prior to the standard Board meeting Tuesday evening March 29.

Reeves, who is currently the Superintendent of the Genoa-Hugo School District in far eastern Colorado, was chosen by the Board from a group of four finalists candidates. All four of the finalist candidates for Superintendent attended a community Meet and Greet event last Thursday at Middle Park High School.

Reeves will replace outgoing EGSD Superintendent Jody Mimmack, Ph.D. who announced her decision not to seek contract renewal late last year.
