Fraser board discusses town ‘sustainability plan’

FRASER —Members of the Fraser Town Board have agreed the town should move forward with developing a “sustainability plan.”

A sustainability plan would focus on ways the Town could better manage its trash collection and better promote recycling. The board plans to continue its discussion on this matter at a later date, which is yet to be determined, according to Fraser Town Manager Jeff Durbin. During the board’s Sept. 18 town meeting, board members briefly discussed how a proposed fee on single-use plastic bags might work within the framework of a sustainability plan.
