Conrad receives grant to do research

Fraser native Janni Conrad was recently honored with a Louis B. Perry Summer Research Grant, allowing Conrad to do collaborative research with a professor at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash.

The grant was established in honor of Louis B. Perry, the eighth president of Whitman and a member of the Board of Overseers. The grant is generously funded by the Parents Fund through the Student-Faculty Research FuConrad will be working with Assistant Professor of Chemistry Nate Boland on working to demonstrate the possibility of surface catalysis of ligand exchange reactions in soils.



Conrad is the daughter of Jack and Karin Conrad and a 2011 graduate of Middle Park High School. She is currently a rising junior chemistry major at Whitman College.
