Fraser rec center now different than the one voters approved

To the Editor:

One thing Mr. Michel did make clear in his lengthy diatribe (Letters, Sept. 4) is that he’s accustomed to billing in tenth-hour increments.

With the consummate skill of an ersatz magician he misdirected focus away from that glaring and oh-so disgusting factoid that is floating squarely in the center of the punchbowl ” namely that the rec center before us is not the rec center we voted on.

The reality he conveniently ignores is that the Rec District Board committed $46 million primarily for a hotel amenity.

Beth Sands may not have raised her hand from time to time, but only a fool or a fawn could doubt she influenced the decisions and impacted the outcome.
