Fraser Rec District plans to offer rec center tours this fall

The Fraser Valley Metropolitan Recreation District plans to offer public tours of its new recreation center as it nears completion this fall.

“People are getting excited about the new recreation center and, understandably, they want to see what it will be like,” said Scott Ledin, Director of Parks and Recreation for the FVMRD. “So we will be offering tours when the construction site is safe to do so, which will likely be in the fall of this year.”

Meanwhile, the FVMRD is looking into developing a virtual tour for their Web site, which would consist of still photos and possibly video footage.

“We want people to see what’s being built with their investment in recreation in the Fraser Valley,” Ledin said.

Announcements about public tours will be made in early Fall 2009.
