Fraser/Winter Park voters voted for rec center and nothing has changed

To the Editor:

Why is that Fraser/Winter Park cannot get through their heads that they (the voters) voted for this rec center, knowing the same things they do now?

Nothing has changed and at this point, I am going to say, it probably won’t.

But do you all realize there is a rec center in your own backyard that the locals don’t utilize to its potential? YES, it’s called Snow Mountain Ranch-YMCA of the Rockies (also known as the Y). The Y has been here for many years, provides swimming, hiking, biking trails, Nordic ski trails, sledding/tubing hill and miniature golfing. All this could be used for an annual membership fee of $200.

How much do you think you would spend for a membership at the new rec center? More information can be found on their Web site at or by calling (970) 887-2152.

It’s time for people to stand up for what they need, not what they want.
