Friday night preps: West Grand romps over Soroco 52-12

West Grand started off slowly, but after they got their offense clicking, they were able to roll up a 52-12 win over Soroco on Friday evening in Oak Creek to solidify their hold on first place in the division. Mustang quarterback Travis Gore led the way with 243 rushing yards and four touchdowns while passing for another.
Gore scored on touchdown runs of 59, 94, 16 and 3 yards and Nick Ritschard added a 1-yard touchdown run, 84-yard touchdown reception on a screen play and a 60-yard interception return to round out the scoring.
Middle Park boys soccer defeated Bennett 8-3 on Friday afternoon in Bennett. Carlos Gutierrez led the Panthers with three goals, Kellen Lutz had two, as Aziz Hanna, Ramsey Blahnik and Justin Coucke each added one apiece.
The win moves Middle Park to 4-3 in the Frontier League with one more league match to play on Tuesday when they host Sheridan at 4 p.m. in Granby.
