Friday’s Berthoud closure due to auto accident
Berthoud Pass was closed for two hours on the evening of Friday, Jan. 13, after a Hyundai Santa Fe rolled onto its roof.
The driver of the vehicle, Tara Jamison, 71, of Fraser, was extracted from the car and flown by helicopter to St. Anthony Hospital, Denver, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
According to St. Anthony Hospital on Tuesday, Jamison is in “stable but critical condition.”
Jamison works on the advisory board of the Middle Park Land Trust.
Her dog was with her in the car, said a colleague of hers, and was not found the night of the accident, but a son-in-law tracked him and found him alive in the Berthoud Pass area the next morning.
