Frisco police hunting armed robbery suspect

FRISCO – The U.S. Bank in Frisco was robbed Friday afternoon, and the suspect is still at large and possibly armed.

Authorities say the suspect entered the bank at approximately 2 p.m., approached the counter and presented a teller with a note indicating his intentions. He then lifted his shirt to reveal what the teller believed was the butt of a gun. The teller handed the suspect an undisclosed sum of cash, and the suspect fled on foot through the door facing the bank parking lot.

An eye witness said she was standing behind the suspect at the time of the robbery, but did not realize the bank was being robbed until after the suspect fled.

The suspect was wearing a light-colored, short-sleeved, button-down shirt and a red baseball cap with a white symbol on it. He is approximately 6 feet tall with light skin and brown hair. The suspect’s likeness was captured by surveillance cameras, and police canvassed the area for witnesses and evidence.

Frisco Police are collaborating with other local law enforcement agencies and the FBI to coordinate efforts in apprehending the suspect.

Citizens are advised not to approach the suspect, but to contact local law enforcement if they have any tips at (970) 668-8600.
