Sky-Hi News/ Daily Tribune, June 6, 1996 — Then editor and publisher Patrick Brower announced a change in newspaper distribution in his column. “Grand County newspapers are embarking on somewhat of a noble undertaking this week,” Brower wrote. “We’ve changed the publication date of the Winter Park Manifest and the Middle Park Times to Wednesday rather than Thursday. We’ve also merged the Manifest and the Sky-Hi News with the Daily Tribune, creating a four-day-a-week daily newspaper that has county-wide news and county-wide circulation. …We’re pretty sure we’re the first newspapers in the United States to attempt this sort of merging of weekly newspapers with a daily distribution cycle of a free daily newspaper, The Daily Tribune. In pondering all this over the last three months, I couldn’t help but think that these changes should help address some of the unique and conflicting characteristics I have learned to accept about Grand County in my 17 years as a newspaper editor.”

This structure of newspaper distribution remained until 2007, when the newspaper was sold and became a one-flag newspaper throughout the county, and the Middle Park Times moved from being a west end paper to being the Sky-Hi subscription paper, capturing the best news of the Sky-Hi on a weekly basis.
