FVRD seeks public feedback on master plan
The Fraser Valley Rec District will hold a meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23 at the Grand Park Community Recreation Center. The Rec District’s master plan will be discussed during the meeting, and public input is welcome.
“As with most planning processes, community engagement is extremely important,” said Scott Ledin, Director of Parks, Recreation, and Golf, “and we would like to make sure we are open to additional public feedback during this exciting process.”
The Rec District’s consulting firm, Greenplay, will be leading the meeting. They will be presenting their initial findings to the Rec District Board of Directors and the general public. According to Ledin, Greenplay will be attempting to validate and round out information received during the community needs assessment process that took place in 2014-15. Greenplay will also speak to the planning process, stakeholder interviews, project timeline and scope of work including community benchmarking and future community needs.
