Gary Bumgarner: Community outpouring for injured boys was most gratifying

To the Editor:

Words cannot describe the heartfelt outpouring of love that was present at the benefit dinner for Kele Bock and Colton Bodemann. The dinner helped with the needs of their families at this time.

From the organizers, to all the volunteers, to the donators, the different entities that provided a great meal and the many community members that attended, you should all be commended for your efforts to help these two families.

I’ve heard many people say they wonder why they stay in a small community when they could go elsewhere to have all the things they are looking for; but nothing that you are looking for will ever beat the caring, affection and friendship that a small community can provide. I for one think that everyone that has had a part in helping these families has gained a great blessing of what it’s like to live in a community like Grand County.

Kele and Colton our prayers and thoughts are with you and your families. Keep healing and growing strong.
