Glenn G. Watt, 71, died Sunday, June 15, 2008, at his home in Ponce de Leon, Fla. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 21, in Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, Riggins Road Chapel, Tallahassee, Fla. Interment will be in Pensacola Memorial Gardens, Pensacola, Fla.
Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, June 20, in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Covenant Hospice, 1545 Raymond Diehl Road, Suite 102, Tallahassee, FL 32308 or to the Humane Society in your area.
Glenn was raised in Parshall. He joined the Navy at age 22. After his tour of duty, he started to work for Noonan Construction Co. (heavy equipment) in Pensacola. In 1973, Glenn started his own business, in Havana, Fla: Watt Dozier Service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Havana; was a Vietnam Navy veteran and a Mason.
Survivors include his companion of 10 years, Diane Padgett; his daughter, Gail Pursell (and husband John) of Molino, Fla.; sisters, Marilyn Gurie of Hayden and Lola Gerdes of Blodgett; three step children, Michael Padgett (and his wife Melissa), Ashley Rhodes and Gregory Padgett; five grandchildren, Chance, Cameron and Cadence Padgett, Karstyn Padgett and Kayleigh Rhodes; nieces and nephews; many close friends and dedicated employees and his dog, Little Bit.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John L. Watt and Thelma McCall Watt, and a daughter, Kathy Johnston.
