Granby Chamber thanks everyone for Fourth of July support
July 20, 2008
To the Editor:
The Greater Granby Area Chamber of Commerce wants to salute its July 4th sponsors and volunteers. US Bank and their staff were Parade sponsor. Thanks for being wonderful community and Chamber members.
Our volunteer Parade Marshalls-Steve Brenner, Mark Bujanovich, Kim Burner, Misty Emerson, Bonnie Haddock, David Reinicke, and Cathy Weninger deserve a special round of applause for keeping order in the midst of chaos. Tom Sifers volunteered to help with the Parade line-up, which is very challenging. Pat Vigil was our Parade Judges assistant.
Gary Redfield and Anie Oium of KRKY Radio 930 did a super job of announcing and broadcasting the Parade to our community for the second year in a row. Thanks.
Thanks to Joel Moore and his entire Town of Granby road crew for helping with the road closures for the Parade route. Also, thank you Chief Bill Housley and his town of Granby police for signs, security and road closure control.
We are grateful to our many volunteers who helped make the post-parade in the park events possible- Granby Rotary members for the barbecue, Action Ministries for the entertainment, Dave Makowski and his Mountain Tae Kwon Do for the demonstrations, Mayor Jynnifer Pierro and the town of Granby for renting a large tent for the park because the pavilion is down, Julie Martin and the Granby Recreation Department for all the games, and Peter Butrymovich for the park preparation and band stand power check.
A special thanks to the Sky-Hi Daily news staff for covering and promoting our community events. And, thanks to our many Parade watchers and post-Parade participants. Hope you had as much fun as we did.
