Granby Chamber thanks volunteers

The Greater Granby Area Chamber of Commerce would like to thank all our volunteers and guests who helped make the Chili Supper and Parade of Lights a success again this year.

Our ambulance and fire crews participated with their spot lights and ladder truck, helping create a fun and exciting atmosphere while our “Parade” entries brightened up the outside and provided some heat in the winter night air. The parade’s Best Entry, Grand Mountain Bank, warmed the festivities with lights, smiles and a fire. Mayor Pierro dropped the “snowballs” for the children to chase with anticipation and delight.

Inside the best volunteers in the county served a delicious chili and all the trimmings (thanks, Gary and Cheri) while the Mini-singers entertained us all and helped us all hope for “one to seven feet” of snow with their songs. Santa made a special stop to visit with the children and find out what they wanted for Christmas. The Grand County Model Railroad Club ran their train while watchers tried to find everything from skiers to “Waldo.”

Thank you all for helping us kick off the Holiday Season in Granby. And Congratulations to Grand Mountain Bank for the Best Entry of 2009.
