Fresh off its win at the All-Chamber Chili Cookoff (pictures on page 16), the Granby Chamber of Commerce is celebrating “Code of the West” week when Granby celebrates western heritage, spirit and values.

Events this weekend include mountain man tales with a hay ride and marshmallows over the campfire (Sombrero Stables at Snow Mountain Ranch) on Friday night, Sept. 12, from 7-9 p.m.

On Saturday, Sept. 13, a harvest market, bingo, country music, a dance and kids games will be featured in Polhamus Park from noon to 3 p.m. Barbecue and craft vendors will also be available. Dress western and get your photo taken.

The “Code of the West” is intended to capture “timeless, honest principles from days when deals were made with a simple handshake.” For information visit or call 970-887-2311.
