Granby-Grand County Airport airmarking complete

Thanks to the leadership of the Colorado Ninety-nines (Women pilots organization) and many local volunteers, with support of the Grand County commissioners, the painting is complete on the new airport identifiers. The new yellow airmarkings of “GRANBY 123.0” facing South and “GNB 123.0” facing East are important safety features.

The following local volunteers and organizations need to be thanked. EAA Chapter 1267, Greater Granby Area Chamber of Commerce, Steve Batty, Glenna Cook, Tom Corrigan, Connor Dolan, Carolyn Doubek, Bob Doubek, Gene Eggert, Bob Gorman, Winter Gray, Bill Hamilton, Penny Hamilton, Darrell Herk, Bill Hiler, Rod Kauber, Trude Kleess, Rudy Perez, Fred Schroeder, Hutton Smith, Ann Stricklin, Laura Swift, Jerry Teitsma, Tyler Waldecker, Emily Howell Warner, and Caren Welcome.

Colorado Ninety-nines and their friends and family, who paid their own expenses to lend their expertise and valuable time, are Jan McKenzie, Linda Horn, Roxie Juul, Margot Plumm, Natalie Corrao, Cher Hanssen, Laura Epstein, Dean Jaros, and John Jewell.
