Granby-Grand County Airport awarded $300,000 grant

Staff Report

The Granby-Grand County Airport has been awarded a $300,000 grant from the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Airport Improvement Program (AIP).

According to comments made by Assistant Grand County Manager Ed Moyer Thursday morning at a Transportation Advisory Committee meeting, the county hopes to use the grant money to update the airport master plan and to conduct an aeronautical survey.

Moyer said the county is still in the midst of completing paperwork with the FAA and the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT). Moyer said the county has not received the funds yet but hopes they are received sometime this summer.
