Granby mayor needs to learn tolerance for others

To the Editor:

As free people in a free society, we’re lucky to still have the freedom to express our opinions, so here’s my two cents.

As a teacher, I try to teach open-mindedness and tolerance, something not everyone seems to have lately. Have the people (Mayor Ted Wang) represents gone into the “dreaded tattoo parlor” lately? Well, I have.

I didn’t find Hell’s Angels or drug kingpins; I found artists who are the parents of two lovely little girls who attend elementary school. Their canvas just happens to be the human body.

And while I was in there, this slightly middle-aged school teacher received a dainty Celtic design on her ankle. I even had to sign a waiver (like all of their customers) stating that I was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

And so, Mr. Wang and others, you’re welcome to see my new art work anytime you’d like.

Please keep an open mind and develop some tolerance of what you don’t know … for the future of Grand County.

Katie Gailey
