Mark Johnson of Granby has released his first CD of solo piano and electric keyboard music.

After spending two decades playing for successful bands around the country – most recently with John Denver tribute artist John Adams in Denver – Johnson wanted to record his own style of piano and keyboard instrumental journeys.

Born and raised in Colorado, the ranch and mountain lifestyle Johnson and his family have experienced greatly influence the reverent, yet intimate feel of his music. With an acoustic New-Age sound, Johnson’s style takes inspiration from his classical piano background plus artists like Dave Grusin, Liz Story, and Chic Corea. His CD will appeal to anyone who enjoys George Winston.

“Whisper in the Mist” was recorded in Johnson’s ranch studio and released by his Elevation J Studios label. From the peaceful piano solo in “You Met Me There” to the jazzy sound of “Renewal,” Johnson’s CD has a little something for everyone.

Listen to “Whisper in the Mist” for free online at and purchase either the CD or download. It is also available in Granby at the General Store, Java Lava and The Paper Clip.
