Granby railroad museum work day set for June 11
Carpenters, painters, metal workers – young and old – all are welcome to help build a lasting heritage in Grand County. The Moffat Road Railroad Museum and the Grand County Model Railroad Club invite all who are interested to a work party at the railroad museum site next to Kaibab Ball Fields in Granby. The work party takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 11. The club will be working on the 1910 hand cart shed /dispatchers office and on the 1923 U.P. CA-1 class caboose. Restoration of these two museum pieces has become a club priority this summer. Drinks and hot dogs for lunch will be provided. Call Dave Naples at 970-281-9094 for information.
