Despite sprinklings of snow this May, Granby Ranch is looking ahead to warm days and wildflowers.
“With scenic lift rides, thrilling bike trails, family friendly festivals and live music, Granby Ranch invites locals and visitors alike to enjoy the sunshine and experience everything the mountain has to offer,” the resort states in a news release.
Early openings
For golfers ready to get their swing in, the resort’s golf course had its earliest opening for summer on May 2.

The golf course offers scenic views of the winding Fraser River and Rocky Mountains. This 18-hole course has two front and back nines.
The resort’s Bluebird Bistro also had its earliest opening ever on May 1. It currently offers a dinner menu Thursday through Sunday from 4-9 p.m. Starting June 4, the Bistro will open for its regular summer hours, 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
June 4 is official opening day, when the Quick Draw Express lift will start spinning again after its mud season hiatus. The chairlift will take guests up to the top of the East Mountain, which is a short distance from Vista Ridge. There are opportunities for hiking, downhill biking, e-biking and bike lessons for all abilities.
