Teen Night out

If you’re in 6th grade or older, join the Granby Recreation Department for a ride to Teen Night at Fraser’s Grand Park Recreation Center on Thursday, Jan. 19.

Participants will meet at the Granby Soccer Dome at 8 p.m. before heading to the Rec. Center for a wild time. Pick up will be at 11 p.m. at the Dome (Rec. Center event is from 8:30 – 10:30).

The cost is $10 per child and includes transportation and entry to the Rec. Center. Call the Granby Rec. Dept. today at 887-3961 to sign up. Pre-registration is required.

Keeping Kids Safe Online class

Join Granby Rec. Department and EGMS computer teacher Aspen Easterling for a hands-on class for parents who want to learn about social networking and how to keep their kids safe when they are online.

Spend time looking at privacy settings (primarily Facebook) and learn a variety of technologies: cell phones, mp3 players, desktops / laptops, and tablet computers. Parents will learn about potential online dangers and receive tips for keeping their children safe.

The cost for the class is $10 and all proceeds will benefit EGMS Technology. Class will be held on Thursday, Jan. 19, 6 – 8 p.m. at the EGMS computer lab. Pre-registration is required by calling Granby Rec. at 887-3961 by Monday, Jan. 16.
