During the week of Nov. 4, two students at Granby Elementary School acted as vice principal for a day. This reward was a result of fundraising efforts for the PTA Walk-a-Thon.

Fifth-grader Jordan Duley earned this award for the second consecutive year.

“My day as vice principal was so great! I read to Mrs. Miyauchi’s class and to Miss Buege’s class. And Mrs. Harmon and I ate Subway. I had fun going to the middle school with the superintendent, seeing all the classrooms in process. I like helping the school and helping the classes,” Duley said.

Second-grader Kylie DeLong also had the privilege of being a school administrator.

“Today vice principal, tomorrow President! I gave a tour to the superintendent. I ate lunch with the principal. I got to work in a class, reading to kindergarteners. I got to spend the day with Mrs. Harmon. I got to do a lot of teacher work,” she said.
