Granby’s Inn at SilverCreek reopens convention center

Granbys Inn at SilverCreek conference center, bar and restaurant gained county approval of a new liquor license after the former one was dropped in transition. With a liquor license now in place, new management company Alderwood Colorado LLC, a branch of Alderwood Group of Big Bear Lake, Calif., plans to reopen the convention center, said Homeowners Association President Lynette Teichman and Treasurer-Secretary Charlie Teichman. The Inns R&R Bar and restaurant, which has been closed to liquor sales since April, is also back in full business this week. The Inn is owned by the homeowners association, which terminated the relation with its former management company April 30.We were not satisfied with their performance, Charlie Teichman said.Part of the reason, he said, was due to the companys failure to keep the separate dining restaurant opened consistently. The management company said it was due to a shortage of labor, according to Teichman. The convention centers absence was felt by area chambers of commerce and property management companies for its ability to accommodate large groups and events. The Teichmans said the reopened center will be available to outside caterers to boost usage. If someone has a wedding reception there, they can pick out any caterer, including us, Charlie Teichman said. The homeowners association negotiated a stake in the facilities. Alderwood will be running the property to the benefit of the management company as well as the homeowners association, they said.
