Granby’s Legacy Building Specialties opens Winter Park showroom
Grand County, Colorado
Legacy Building Specialties recently opened a Kitchen and Bath Center in Winter Park to attract new customers and cater to its current clients.
The design studio is located at 78491 U.S. Highway 40 in The Village Center in Winter Park. The business offers specialized kitchen and bath design services; cabinetry, countertops, appliances, windows and doors. It also sells fireplaces, pellet stoves, and fuel from Rocky Mountain Pellet Company Inc. in Walden.
However, Legacy is not just focused on kitchen and bath.
“We can be that one-stop shop,” Legacy Building Specialties Owner Tom Pierro said.
“People can come in and we can take care of them. Not only cabinetry, but we can take care of appliances and flooring and lighting.”
They target second homeowners and locals.
“We do a lot of business with the locals and the referrals on that is great,” Pierro said. “We tend to take a little extra time on them.”
The same high-quality cabinetry, countertops, appliances, windows, doors, millwork, decorative hardware, fireplaces, pellet stoves and outdoor kitchens displayed in the main showroom in Granby will be displayed at Winter Park, but on a smaller scale.
The Granby location is 6,400 square-feet. This one is about 800-square-feet.
The business plans to stage a Grand Opening event in the Winter Park office in February once the showroom is completed.
They sell a variety of lines. One of the business’s biggest vendors is Custom Cupboards out of Wichita, Kan. They also sell Andersen Windows.
“We install everything that we sell,” Pierro said. “We design all our kitchens, everything’s on 3-D computerized graphic drawings. We do all service for all the products after the sale.”
It also offers a concrete products division, selling and servicing support Logix Insulated Concrete Forms. Projects range from foundations, basements, full homes to commercial projects.
They have 10 employees but didn’t hire more for the new outlet because of the shift in the economy.
“We’re trying to utilize everyone that we have, and adding this location just helps, hopefully increase our sales,” he added.
The seven sales employees have a combined total of about 100 years of experience in Grand County.
Legacy employees will meet with the clients at the Granby or Winter Park showrooms.
Co-owners Tom and Jynnifer Pierro started the building specialty business out of their Granby home. Three employees then worked in a one-bedroom apartment for two years before building the main store. The Granby business opened January 2003.
“We’re very service-oriented,” Tom Pierro said. “Service is priority number one for us. I think we exemplify what people want in service. I think that everyone can sell products. We happen to align ourselves with the top quality product lines in the industry. I think our vendors stand behind us as we stand behind our clients.”
The Winter Park location is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., or by appointment. For more information, contact Legacy at (970) 887-3600 or http://www.legacycwd.com.
