Grand County Blues Society will celebrate eighth birthday

The Grand County Blues Society, which started its life on July 9, 2002, will be celebrating its 8th birthday this week with music starting at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, at Cooper Creek Square.

Dan Treanor and world renown harpist RJ Michou will do a set followed by Riverboat Blues band Pokey Lafarge and the South City Three.

Later that night Dan and RJ will take thier show to the Circle H in Granby for an 8 p.m. show.

Friday, July 9, Michaela Rae will play a solo set outside Moe’s and then she will open for 2010 IBC Band Winner Grady Champion. Michaela will have Andy Irvine, Brad Pregeant and Bobby Walker to back her up at 9 p.m. Grady will be on 10 p.m.

The GCBS would like to invite all the festival volunteers, past board members and all current members as thier guests.
