Grand County Characters to present oral history seminars

The Grand County Characters organization is presenting a seminar on collecting and presenting oral histories by bringing to Grand County two trainers to show how to properly do historical interviews and how to record them for access on the internet via and all other historical websites in Grand County.

The trainers have developed similar projects in San Luis and Del Norte. These projects are collectively know as the Novella Project.

The dates are Friday Aug. 20 all day and Saturday Aug. 21 for a half day, at the Granby Library community room. The cost is $25 per person and includes morning coffee, juice, pastries and lunch on Friday. The Grand County Characters believe it is important to record the history of community members before it is to late, following established protocols that the museums and libraries use today. Call Dave or Kathy Naples at 970-887-3066 or 970-281-9094 for more information and for signing up.
