Grand County Colorado Tourism Board accepting grant applications through Oct. 24

The Grand County Colorado Tourism Board has announced applications for its upcoming grant cycle. Applications are due Oct. 24 before midnight. Submit by this deadline via email to info@visitgrandcounty.com.
In order for an organization to qualify for grant funding, applicants must submit a completed grant request form and supporting documents. To download a form, go to VisitGrandCounty.com/Tourism-Board/Grants.
The tourism board stated that it grant program directly supports advertising, marketing efforts and special events that promote tourism within Grand County.
Grant applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Encourage overnight stays in Grand County.
- Promote tourism in off-season or low-season periods.
- Showcase the uniqueness of Grand County as a destination.
- Provide opportunities for other tourism-related businesses and entities to participate.
- Align with the tourism board’s overall marketing efforts and image of the county.
- Maintain adequate insurance.
- Submit a grant evaluation report within 45 days of the event or end of the funded marketing period, including attendance counts, promotional materials, and a complete financial report. Failure to meet this requirement will result in ineligibility for future funding for at least one year.
