Special to the Sky-Hi News

The Grand County Council on Aging will host its annual pizza party fundraiser on Wednesday, Sept. 17, from 5-8 p.m. at the Grand River Inn.

Formerly Betty’s Café, the Grand River Inn is located at 10658 Highway 34 in Grand Lake.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors 60 and older, and $6 for kids 7 and under. Prices include pizza, salad, dessert and non-alcoholic beverages. All proceeds from the evening go directly to the Grand County Council on Aging in support of senior services.

Grand County Council on Aging’s mission is to help Grand County seniors and disabled citizens maintain independence. The agency’s goals are to determine the needs of the aging in Grand County and to make every effort to meet those needs through appropriate action; to encourage members’ participation in social, recreational, and educational activities; to establish and carry on an outreach program for the aging; and to develop coordination and cooperation among all local, state, and federal agencies involved in working with the aging population.

Services offered through GCCA include transportation, education and support groups, recreational and social activities, and senior fitness. Visit http://www.grandseniors.org or call (970) 887-3222 for more information.
