Nonprofit organizations throughout Colorado are participating in the annual Colorado Gives Day. For 2024, the official day of giving is Dec. 10, and community members can donate to their organizations of choice from now until Dec. 10.

Grand County has many nonprofit organizations that assist the community by creating educational opportunities, hosting arts performances, providing financial assistance for life-saving medications and much more. During Colorado Gives Day, residents have a chance to give back to the organizations they value.

This year, Grand County residents can donate to 33 different nonprofits and 25 fundraisers by visiting  ColoradoGives.org/community/grandcountygives. The Grand Foundation is the local sponsor.

Last year, more than 90,000 donors gave $54 million to support Colorado nonprofits, according to the Colorado Gives Foundation. This foundation organizes Colorado Gives Day, raising more than $469 million since it began in 2010. In Grand County, 73 donors have raised $18,370 so far in 2024.

Until the last day on Dec. 10, all donations get boosted by a $1 million incentive fund. Nonprofits can win more than $100,000 in prizes provided by the Colorado Gives Foundation and presenting sponsor, FirstBank. 

This annual statewide fundraiser has “made it easy to find the causes and nonprofits that matter to you in one place,” the foundation stated.

Businesses can also support nonprofits by joining the Good for Business Challenge presented by Delta Dental of Colorado, where the first 50 companies that raise $1,000 get an additional $1,000 match for its designated nonprofit.

After Colorado Gives Day is over, donors can continue to support nonprofits by participating in Colorado Gives 365. Donors can visit the Colorado Gives website to donate to their favorite nonprofit or start their own fundraiser.
