Grand County Jail log: Inmate numbers drop

The number of prisoners being held at the Grand County Jail continued to fall this week.

As of Monday, Sept. 29, the jail in Hot Sulphur Springs was holding only 30 inmates. This was down from 33 last week and 35 two weeks ago.

Those individuals booked at the county jail over the past few days, the charges filed against them and the dates of their bookings are:

Beau C. Grega, 23, of Winter Park, failure to appear on a traffic charge, Sept. 22

Brian O. Roark, 36, of Granby, failure to pay restitution, Sept. 22, Mittimus

Nicholas J. Payne, 21, of Kremmling, violation of a restraining order, Sept. 23

Kurt R. Westerlund, 76, of Fraser, driving after license was under restraint due to alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol, lane usage violation and failing to use a turn signal, Sept. 24

John E. Archuleta, 60, of Hot Sulphur Springs, driving while ability impaired, Sept. 26, Mittimus

Carol Williams, 42, of Granby, theft of $15,000 and theft under $500, Sept. 26, Mittimus

Wesley W. Schar, 29, of Granby, third degree assault – knowingly/recklessly causing injury, Sept. 26, Mittimus

Todd W. Nevitt, 29, of Winter Park, probation violation, Sept. 26

Elsie R. Archuleta, 24, of Granby, fraud by check – insufficient funds, Sept. 26.
