Grand County Library District looks to fill two openings on board

The Grand County Library District has two openings on its board that the district is currently looking to fill.

The Grand County Library District is seeking candidates for two open positions on its board of trustees, one representing District 2 and one at-large.

District 2 encompasses the central portion of Grand County, including Granby and Grand Lake, but both positions are open to any county resident.

The trustees are tasked with working as a team to protect the interests of the broader library community by advising the executive director in the policies, promotion and development of the district.



Preferred qualifications include a strong desire to preserve and promote the library as a public forum for the sharing of information and ideas without prejudice; a willingness and ability to give time and talent to the library; participating in monthly meetings and occasional committee meetings, special library functions and other community events at which the library is promoted; and the ability to assess information and make important decisions.
