Grand County local government meetings this week
There are a number of local government meetings in Grand County this week, Dec. 12 through 16, 2016, as local government bodies throughout the county prepare to close out the year.
Three Lakes Water & Sanitation
The Three Lakes Water & Sanitation District will hold a Regular Meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m. Monday Dec. 12, 2016 at the Three Lakes Water and Sanitation District Offices located at 1111 County Road 48 in Grand Lake.
Grand Lake Board of Trustees
The Grand Lake Board of Trustees will hold a Workshop/Special Meeting from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday Dec. 12. The Workshop/Special Meeting will begin with a Special Session of Streetscape and Wayfinding Plan from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Following the Streetscape and Wayfinding Plan will be delegations with Patrick Brower of the Grand Enterprise Initiative and Ray Jennings from Grand County EMS presenting to the Board. Discussion items for the Board include updates from the Town Manager and Town Attorney the Arcade Auction SEP update and additional meeting updates.
The Board will review a number of additional items that will come before the Board later in the formal Board meeting.
The Grand Lake Board of Trustees Regular Meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. Monday Dec. 12 in the Grand Lake Town Hall. The Board will hear a scheduled presentation from Samantha Bruegger of the Grand Lake Chamber of Commerce.
In Old Business the Board will consider vacating a portion of a right-of-way on Ellsworth Street.
In New Business the Board will consider recommending individuals to represent the Town on Grand County’s Open Lands Advisory Board. The Board will consider adopting a motor vehicles records review policy. The Board will consider adopting an ordinance to update and replace the agreement for marketing services and Visitor Center services between the Town and the Grand Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.
The Board will consider approval of a lease agreement with the Grand Lake Area Historical Society. The Board will consider approval of a lease agreement with the Grand County Water Information Network. The Board will consider approval of the contract between the Town and the Grand County Sheriff’s Dept. The Board will also consider Town Hall roof bids.

Granby Board of Trustees
The Granby Board of Trustees will hold a Regular Meeting on Tuesday Dec. 13, 2016. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. with the Board convening as the Grand Elk General Improvement District. The Board will reconvene at 6:30 p.m. as the Grand Elk 2 Improvement District. The Board will reconvene at 6:40 p.m. as the Granby West General Improvement District. Finally at 6:50 p.m. the Board will convene as the Granby Board of Trustees.
The Regular Meeting of Granby Board will begin with a Public Budget Hearing for adoption of the 2017 Town Budget.
Following the Public Comments period the Board will move on to a discussion only item regarding the setting of water rates at the Jan. 10, 2017 Board meeting. The Board will discuss and possibly approve a concussion management program policy set up by Cindy Seader. The Board will discuss and possibly approve a change to the PTO policy in the Town’s existing personnel handbook with new hire documents. The Board will discuss and possibly approve a resolution setting the fees for Granby Community Building and Soccer Dome.
The Board will discuss a lease agreement between the Town and the East Grand School District for grooming machines. Town Attorney Scott Krob will review sign code discussions. There will be a discussion only item regarding amending Town codes to include vehicle storage as a conditional use. The Board will discuss a rooster and goat permit. The Board will approve an assumption agreement between the Town of Granby and the Granby Sanitation District. A discussion only item will be reviewed regarding a Mountainside annexation agreement request.
The Board will discuss and possibly approve a resolution accepting a loan relating to the Deberard Draw Sanitary Sewer Project.
Following Committee and Staff Reports the Board will convene in Executive Session to discuss and possibly approve an agreement to sell a portion of the Shorefox property to the developers Sun Communities.
