Grand County Museum will open your eyes about the place you call home
July 20, 2008
To the Editor:
I am writing to admit my guilt. I was a full-time resident of Grand County from 1989-2002, and I am embarrassed to admit that in 13 years of living there, I never took the time to visit the Grand County Museum in Hot Sulphur Springs.
During a recent, brief visit I had the fortunate experience to tour the museum. What a gem.
Had I taken the time to visit while still a resident, I would have had such a stronger appreciation for the county and the characters who shaped it. Do yourself a favor: Take an hour or two of your life and visit the Grand County Museum.
Whether you are interested in the valley’s ranching heritage, skiing history, railroading, law and order, there is something for everyone there. A visit to Hot Sulphur Springs will leave you with a new respect for the wonderful valley you are blessed to call home.
