Grand County police blotter, Nov. 13-14: SOS from J.W.
TUESDAY, NOV. 13
Suspicious incident — Authorities received a report at around 7:40 a.m. from the Sitzmark South Apartments in Winter Park regarding suspicious behavior of an employee the previous night involving intoxication and a firearm.
Suspicious incident — Authorities received a report at around 3 p.m. from the Doe Creek Loop trailhead south of Lake Granby where the reporting party saw an “SOS” written in the snow followed with the initials “J.W.” No other vehicles were at the trail head.
Theft — Authorities received a report at around 5:30 p.m. of a debit card stolen from City Market and used to purchase items totaling $1,400 at Dollar General in Granby. Authorities acquired video footage of the suspect making purchases.
WEDNESDAY, NOV. 14
Fire call — Authorities received a report at around 6:30 a.m. of flames showing toward the railroad tracks behind Granby Dental. Authorities discovered a train engine at the location that had heavy smoke and steam, but no flames.
Trespassing — Authorities received a report at around 8:30 p.m. from a party in Grand Lake who reported seeing a vehicle on her property several times and wanted the owner’s information. The vehicle was not currently there. She threatened to shoot the subjects if she saw them again.
