Grand County / Real Estate: June community projects supported by local Realtors
So many fun and important June projects have been adopted by the Grand County real estate community. Sue Seemann of Coldwell Banker Mountain Properties in Winter Park is riding 150 miles in the June 28 and 29 Great West MS-150 Bike Tour. This is my sixth year riding in this important fund raiser for Multiple Sclerosis. I consistently raise over $2,000 each year with community and local Realtor sponsorships, explained Seemann. One of my close friends has MS. Because I hold her near and dear to my heart, it is an emotional ride for me. Our ride will go from Broomfield to Fort Collins…and back. The goal of the Colorado Great West MS-150 is to raise more than $2 million dollars for the fight against MS this year. If you are willing to pledge a donation to sponsor local Realtor See Seemann, please contact her directly at (970) 722-1232. Your tax-deductible donation is payable to the National MS Society. Recently, Century 21 Winter Park Real Estate also helped raise funds to fight MS by participating in the fourth MS Walk in Winter Park. Another important health issue is being touted by Janene Johnson, Managing Broker of Century 21.June 28 at the Flying Heels Arena in Granby our community will participate in the national breast cancer awareness and fundraiser called Tough Enough to Wear Pink. They could use help in many way. Of course, money for sponsorships or volunteers at the merchandise tent are helpful, announced Johnson. Most of all they need the community to attend. Please put this event on your calendar. It should be an incredible evening. All proceeds go to breast cancer research, Janene concluded. Saturday afternoon, June 28 is also important for the Grand Arts Council because they are holding their 5th Annual Art & Architecture Home Tour. Cathy Walton-Smith of Century 21 Grand Lake Real Estate serves as Vice President of that Board. For the past several years our fundraising efforts have gone toward completion of the 20,000 sq. ft. Arts Center of Grand Lake, said Cathy. Construction is nearly complete on the lower level. This community facility will be available to the public and groups for receptions and classes. Also participating in the Grand Arts Council are Re/max Resorts of Grand County in Grand Lake brokers Andrea Cox and Suzi Maki. Five Grand Lake homes will be on tour on June 28. Two lakefront, one riverfront and two lakeview homes with interesting art, architecture or history will comprise the tour. A Tour Gathering at the historic Bears Den is also planned with only 200 tickets available at $25 per person. Only 40 tickets are available to purchase at $150 per person for the Sixth House Dinner or Soiree Elegance! which is a multi-course meal including wine and views from a magnificent log home.
