Grand County Search and Rescue called out on two missions this morning

The Grand County Search and Rescue team was called out on two missions this morning, Saturday, Feb. 13. Both pages came at the same time.

A man collapsed on a cross country trail at Devil’s Thumb Ranch. As of now, he is now back at the main lodge and Grand County EMS is on scene.

The second call is a snowmobile accident on the Grand Lake trail system. A person, not related to the injured party, called 911 to report an injured woman who cannot move.



Grand County Search and Rescue team is on the way to Grand Lake and hasn’t reached the injured party, as of this report.

Chris Zigler is incident commander and is at On The Trail Rentals, a snowmobile rental shop in Grand Lake.



Currently there are two MMRT (Mountain Medical Response Team) in the field.
