Grand County sheriff-elect to conduct interagency meeting

Prior to representing Grand County at the upcoming Sheriff’s Academy and in keeping with one of his campaign promises to work closely with the community, Sheriff-elect Brett Schroetlin will be hosting an interagency “meet and greet” on Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 8 a.m. at the Granby Town Hall.

“In order to be successful in what I want to accomplish,” Schroetlin said, “we need to come together and listen to our community.”

The invitation list includes: all the police and fire chiefs; the director of Grand County EMS; officials from Colorado State Patrol, State Parks and Wildlife, the National Park Service, Winter Park Resort, the district attorney and the Grand County coroner.

“Hopefully,” Schroetlin said, “I’ll get all sorts of great feedback to take with me to the Academy. I look forward to the new step, which we all are boldly taking, in community law enforcement. And, needless to say, I am wishing all of you all the best for this upcoming Holiday Season.”
