Grand County is looking for volunteers to help out during its 25th annual National Public Lands Day on Sept. 28.

Volunteers will meet at the Inn at Silvercreek in Granby for registration beginning at 7 a.m. People with physical or other limitations preventing them from working on trails can also volunteer to help with registration, food, sign making and other jobs throughout the day of the event.

The county also needs volunteers on Sept. 27 to collect food, assemble registration packets and set up facilities.

The county asks volunteers bring their own lunch, water bottle and cloth bag to collect “goodies.” Small snacks will be provided. A catered dinner, including door prizes and live music will be held after the projects.

This year’s projects include the Upper Colorado River Cleanup at Pumphouse Recreation Area, continued work on East Shore Trail, maintenance of Serendipity Trail, turnpike and bridge construction on Sherman Creek Trail and a reroute of Strawberry Fruit Loop Trail.
